  Ratalyache / Shakarkand (Sweet Potato) Patties / Tikki A healthy and tasty mid-evening snack option for all ages! These patties are easy to make, full of flavor, and perfect for tiffin boxes too. Ingredient Quantity Sweet Potato (Ratale/Shakarkand) ½ kg Onion (finely chopped) 1 medium Red Chili Powder To taste Green Chilies (finely chopped) 2 (optional) Coriander (Kothimbir), finely chopped ½ cup Sesame Seeds (Til) 2 tbsp Coriander-Cumin (Dhana-Jeera) Powder 1 tbsp Turmeric Powder (Halad) 1 tsp Salt To taste Method Boil the sweet potatoes in a pressure cooker for about 3 whistles. Allow them to cool, then mash them thoroughly. Add onion , spices , green chilies (optional), coriander , til , and salt to the mashed sweet potato. Mix well. Shape the mixture into small round patties (tikkis). Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the patties on a low flame until both sides are golden brown (about 10 minutes).
